I present to you here an eclectic array of images. These are most of the ones I've had printed from the appoximately 2400 images I've taken in the last ten years.
Although these images are diverse in subject, they spring from a focused vision and rather classical eye. My subject matter, encompassing the natural and the manmade, has led me to the truth that there would be no manmade without the natural...something I believe we often forget. And while I love each image individually, this belief, in turn, has led me to hang seemingly disparate work as a dyptich or tryptich, such as the three images gracing this page.
I have begun using the expression "an erotics of place & space" (taken from the title of a Nancy Mairs book) in talking about my work to emphasize the visceral nature of my imagery. This is reinforced by those who tell me my images invite them in, and either they feel an exciting familiarity or their curiousity is aroused.
Collectors tell me they delight in finding the nuances in their chosen images as they live with the work. Coming from many different walks of life, they hang a photograph where it is easily visable in their living or working environment and use the image as a place to gather their thoughts and inspire their imaginations.

Just a note on being an artist...
Because most of us have not made art on any scale since the third grade, there seems to be a closely held myth that artmaking is fun. While that is true on some levels, those same exciting and passionate moments come to all of us in whatever it is we choose to do for our work and/or for our avocation.
Meaning, making art takes all the skills necessary to make it in any other field, albeit with a specific focus. This dispels another closely held myth that making art has no relation to real work.
Every photograph I have taken and continue to take hones the skills I need to consistently make engaging and interesting fine art photographs. The taking of photographs is, in turn, only the first step in producing these images; i.e., the film must be developed, and images chosen, printed, and matted to present in the best possible manner. And like all other self employed people, I am daily in the midst of marketing and building my business.
At this point in my life I am baafting for the first time. To baaft is a verb I recently coined; i.e., to baaft is to be an artist full time. In order to do that, I am seeking collectors for my photographs and I invite you to look at these images with that possibility in mind. This is not to scare anyone away because it's really quite simple.
When a work of art speaks to you and can give you daily solice, a place to gather strength and to dream, and brings you energy to live your life, you have the choice whether or not to bring that art into your life. Purchasing art is an investment in yourself. I look forward to my images enhancing all you do.
